An estimated ₹ 5 crore-worth goods and machinery were destroyed after fire broke out at a private spinning mill here in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Sri Rama Spinning Mill located in Venkatapalem village was seen engulfed in fire by locals at around 3.30 a.m. Although firefighting services were alerted, the major stock being cotton, nearly five tonnes of the raw material and six machines soon turned to ashes.
