Congress opposes conversion under 16 B

Congress has objected to land conversions being allowed under 16 B saying that the matter is sub judice.The Congress said that on 10th January the court has passed interim order stating that those indulging in zone change will be subject to the outcome of this petition. Congress spokesperson Tulio D’souza said TCP Minister Vijay Sardessai has issued guidelines for zone change under 16 B.He alleged that paddy fields, khajans and forest areas are being converted through this amendment.
