Chautala scion meets JJP workers, promises change
Chetna Choudhry | TNN | Feb 20, 2019, 08:24 ISTGURUGRAM: Digvijay Chautala, leader of the newly-formed Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) held a meeting with party workers in Sukhrali on Tuesday. Slamming the BJP government over its ignorance towards poor state of health services and of government schools in the city, he said JJP will invest the revenue earned from Gurugram for its development.
The meeting started after two-minute silence for the CRPF jawans killed in the recent Pulwama terrorist attack. Chautala said national security shouldn’t be trapped in vote politics, and that PM Narendra Modi should respond to Pakistan in a befitting manner.
Speaking on rising rate of criminal activities in the city, he told party workers that JJP will uproot crime from the city. On education, he said: “Dushyant Chautala believes in an educated society and in overall development, not a society divided by caste and community.”
He also promised better employment prospects if voted to power.
He said residents are still recovering from scams that took place during Congress rule.
“We had some hope of honesty from BJP, but they too disappointed us. Unlike BJP, we believe in secularism and development. We’ll return land acquired from farmers by Congress,” he added.
