Super Low Hour CaseIH Tractors Sold on Iowa Auction Yesterday

Wow, these were some LOW hour tractors.

Sold last night (February 18, 2019) on a small online auction by my friends at the Iowa Auction Group (http://www.iowaauctiongroup.com). The real eye catcher was the 2012 Case IH Magnum 290 with only 45 hours. Yep, 45 hours. Below are sale prices from the auction last night along with my Machinery Pete notes & perspective.

2012 Case IH Magnum 290 with 45 hours: $140,000

Pete's Notes: "2nd highest auction price on Magnum 290 in 49 mo. The only higher auction price came just weeks ago on a 1/30/19 farm auction in west-central Iowa where a 2014 model Magnum 290 with only 560 hours AND CENEX 10 YEAR/10,000 HOUR WARRANTY sold for $151,000. Avg. Auction Price on last (16) Magnum 290's sold past 14 mo. = $98,497. Current Dealer Advertised Price on Magnum 290 = $109,823"

 

2015 Case IH Magnum 240 CVT with 1139 hours: $106,000

Pete's Notes: "New record high auction sale price in the U.S. here at $106K. But have seen higher auction prices in Canada. All time record high auction price is $134,623 (U.S) on 7/20/17 auction in south-central Alberta, Canada. Current Avg. Dealer Advertised Price on Magnum 240 CVT = $99,536"

 

2005 Case IH STX375 4WD with 1639 hours: $100,000

Pete's Notes: Highest auction sale price in U.S. in 40 mo., since 10/16/15 farm auction in western Nebraska where 2005 model STX375 with only 762 hours sold for $119,000. Avg. Auction Price last (10) STX375's sold = $75,825. Current Avg. Dealer Advertised Price on STX375's = $87,078"

 

2008 Case IH Magnum 215 with 886 hours: $78,500

Pete's Notes: Tied 4th highest auction sale price in U.S. past 5 years. Avg. Auction Price last (11) Magnum 215's sold past 14 mo. = $67,719. Current Avg. Dealer Advertised Price = $79,415"

 

Artsway 475 grinder/mixer: $9,400

Pete's Notes: "New record high auction sale price here at $9,400. Previous record price was $7,500, set twice, once back on 2/29/08 (Leap Day!) farm auction in east-central Illinois, and again on 8/22/14 consignment auction in west-central Illinois. Interesting, did see an Artsway 475 sell for $7,200 just last week, on 2/12/19 farm sale in southeast Iowa"
