The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking will make bus rides to examination centres free for students appearing for the Class X and XII board examinations.
The concession will be applicable from February 21 to March 20 for Class XII students, and between March 1 and March 22 for those in Class X.
Students who have bus passes from their homes to their colleges will not have to pay additional fare to travel to their examination centres. Moreover, students belonging to municipal schools will be exempted from paying the fare to their examinations centres regardless of whether they have a pass.
Students will also be allowed to enter from the front of the bus as an added benefit during rush hour.
