Targetting his party colleague Navjot Sidhu for his recent comments that the entire nation could not be blamed for the fault of some individuals, Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Tuesday said the former should counsel his friend Imran Khan to hand over perpetrators of terror to India.
In a series of tweets, Digvijay Singh said, ‘I mean, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, should show the courage and hand over Hafiz Sayeed and Masood Azhar the self confessed perpetrators of terror, to India.
He also called on leadership of all political parties to draw out a road map for next ten years to bring back communal harmony and Kashmiri Muslim and Kashmiri Hindu brotherhood back in Jammu and Kashmir.
‘Know Modi bhakts are going to troll me for this but I don’t care. Imran Khan, a cricketer whom I admire, can’t take on these Muslim fundamentalists and ISI sponsored terrorist groups I can’t believe.
Come on Hon Prime Minister of Pakistan show guts and hand over Hafiz Sayeed and Masood Azhar the self confessed perpetrators of terror, to India. You would not only bail out Pakistan out of financial crisis but also be the front runner for Nobel Peace Prize,’ Mr Singh said.
‘Navjot Singh Sidhu ji apne Dost Imran Bhai ko samjhaiye.
Uski vajah se aap ko Gali padh rahi hai (Mr Navjot Sidhu please counsel your friend. It us because of him that you are facing brickbats),’Mr Singh said.
‘We as a nation have to seriously introspect how in last 71 years Kashmir a Valley of Communal Harmony, of Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmir Pandits brotherhood who overwhelmingly preferred a Secular India to Islamic Pakistan has become a Valley of communal strife and unrest.
‘We are all to be blamed. Can’t we for sometime sweep our political differences under the carpet and unite to bring back the communal harmony and Kashmiri Muslim and Kashmiri Hindu brotherhood back in J&K which was the Hall Mark of J&K? We can! Would Leadership of Congress BJP NC PDP and other Political parties relevant in J&K draw out a Road Map for next ten years to achieve this?,’ he asked.
Expressing concern on persecution of Kashmiri students and traders in many parts of the country, Mr Singh said, ‘Can’t we as an Indian stop unnecessary persecution of innocent Kashmiri students and traders in rest of the country? Do we want Kashmir with the Kashmiris or without Kashmiris? We as a nation have to make a choice.’
