Benchmark indices are trading higher taking cues from their Asian peers.
Shares of Emami were trading around 3 per cent higher in the early trade as the Agarwal and Goenka families - promoters in Emami Ltd - have sold 10 per cent of their stakes for Rs 1,600 crore to pare the debts of other Group companies like Emami Cement, Emami Power and others.
In the broader market, the S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 75 points, or 0.55 per cent higher, while S&P BSE SmallCao index was ruling at 13,160, up 42 points, or 0.32 per cent in the early trade.

Asian stocks were trading mixed in the early trade on Tuesday after a muted session in Europe and a holiday in the US. Shares in Japan were little changed and fell in South Korea, while Australian equities posted modest gains. The US dollar steadied while Treasury yields edged higher.
