Search on for two tourists after belongings found on a NSW beach
Police are searching for two young tourists on the Mid North Coast after their belongings were found on a beach near Port Macquarie.
The search was sparked when walkers found items of property on Shelly Beach around 6.30am on Monday.
The pair's rental silver Commodore station wagon with Queensland registration plates 141-YML was later located in the Shelly Beach car park, with other personal items, including travel documents, inside.
NSW Police, Marine Rescue and the State Emergency Service are conducting a water and ground search in the area for the 20-year-old men.
Police described Englishman Hugo Palmer as being of Caucasian appearance, with fair hair 180 centimetres tall and of athletic build.
His French companion Erwan Ferrieux has dark hair, brown eyes, a tanned complexion and is between 175-180 centimetres tall.
Police say there has been no sign of the pair.
