Tourist from Madurai commits suicide at Ooty lodge
TNN | Feb 20, 2019, 00:28 ISTUdhagamandalam: A 26-year-old man from Madurai committed suicide at a private lodge in Ooty on Tuesday.
Police identified the deceased as Ilayasurian, a wage worker. “He came to the hill town with his girlfriend on Monday. They were staying in a private cottage. They picked up a quarrel on Tuesday. Ilayasurian went to another room and committed suicide by hanging,” a police officer said.
They sent the body to the Ooty Government Hospital for postmortem and registered a case. After postmortem, the body was handed over to family members.
Further investigation is on.
