2019 Ram HD Pricing Starts At $33,395, HO Diesel Costs Almost As Much As A Nissan Versa

Following their unveiling at the North American International Auto Show, Ram has announced its redesigned Heavy Duty truck lineup will be priced from $33,395.

Costing $350 more than its predecessor, the 2019 Ram 2500 will be offered in five different trims ranging from the entry-level Tradesman to the luxurious Limited. Ram hasn’t released detailed pricing, but the base truck comes standard with a regular cab and an 8 foot (2,438 mm) bed. Buyers will also find a 5-inch Uconnect infotainment system, a four-speaker audio system and a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines.

Power is provided by a standard 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that develops 410 hp (306 kW / 416 PS) and 429 lb-ft (582 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional four-wheel drive system.

Drivers looking to upgrade to a diesel engine will have to shell out $9,100 for the optional 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel inline-six. It produces 370 hp (276 kW / 375 PS) and 850 lb-ft (1,084 Nm) of torque.

The 2019 Ram 3500 is a tad more expensive as the model starts at $34,750. While it’s similar to the Ram 2500, it offers a high output diesel engine that produces 400 hp (276 kW / 405 PS) and 1,000 lb-ft (1,084 Nm) of torque. Those are some pretty impressive numbers, but the engine is an $11,795 option which means it costs $565 less than a Nissan Versa sedan.

Speaking of options, Ram confirmed the 3500 Limited Mega Cab 4×4 will cost $67,050. That particular model has a 12-inch infotainment system, a 10-speaker premium audio system, an integrated trailer brake controller and a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross path detection.

Last but not least, Ram announced the 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab variants will start at $34,750.

Note: Prices exclude a $1,695 destination fee
