Barrister Sam Di Carlo to face corruption trial

Queensland barrister Sam Di Carlo will face trial on allegations he influenced the then-Ipswich mayor to champion a property development.

Di Carlo, 61, allegedly offered Paul Pisasale a percentage of profits in return for the now former mayor's support for the development south of Ipswich.

Di Carlo did not enter a plea at his committal hearing in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday, ahead of his trial at a date to be set in the District Court.
