Benelli’s TRK 502 & TRK 502X Launched – Starting Price ₹5 Lakh
The Italian motorcycles manufacturer have made a comeback into the Indian market with their adventure tourer category TRK 502 & TRK 502X. It will carry out operations in India through one of the leading automobile dealers in the country, Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), a partner of Mahavir Group. Benelli has also set up an assembly plant in Hyderabad. Online booking of the motorcycles has commenced for an amount of ₹10,000 worth Benelli voucher, which can be used to purchase accessories and apparels from the showroom at the time of delivery.
Both of these adventure tourers are powered by an all-new twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 500cc, DOHC engine with 4-valves per cylinder. The fuel-injected motor produces 47.5bhp at 8500rpm, with peak torque of 46Nm at 6000rpm which is mated to a slick shifting six-speed gearbox along with a gear shift indicator. Both the TRK’s sports twin 320mm floating discs with a 2-piston calliper at the front and a single 260mm disc with one piston calliper at the rear with switchable ABS. Both models come with 50mm upside down forks, while the rear gets a vertically mounted mono-shock. While the front suspension is not adjustable, the rear mono-shock on both variants comes with a rebound and pre-load adjustment. Benelli is offering Pirelli tyres for the TRK 502 with 17-inch alloy wheels that come wrapped in 120/70 section tyres at the front and 160/60 section tyres at the rear. Whereas, Metzeler tyres are offered in the TRK 502X measuring 110/80 – 19inch front and 150/70 – 17inch at the rear, which are wrapped onto spoked rims. With a 20-litre fuel tank, it promises to be a good overall package.
Now, for the most important part is how expensive such a package would be? Afraid not, Benelli has priced the TRK 502 at ₹5 lakh (ex-showroom) and the TRK 502X at ₹5.4 lakh (ex-showroom).
