Ujjain: Kharakua police on Monday arrested two thieves after being tipped-off. According to police, accused Shahrukh, a resident of Andagali, was arrested on the basis of CCTV camera footages. During interrogation, he confessed to stealing goods from Rubi complex located in Gopal Mandir area on February 12.
The accused told that his accomplice Faizan was also with him. According to police Shahrukh is a habitual criminal. The police also claimed that stolen goods were recovered from the residence of Faizan after a search. Police also arrested Rafeeq alias Guddu, Danish and Salaman on the basis of doubt in some other incidents of theft committed in the city recently. They are being interrogated in respect of theft incident which took place in Tirupati Dham some days ago in which the thieves made away with valuables and jewelleries worth Rs 20 lakh.
