Halsey joked that while she's "gaining weight" and "acting weirder than usual," she is not pregnant
Halsey is teasing an exciting development in her life, but it’s definitely not motherhood.
The “Without Me” singer, 24, shot down rumors that she was expecting a baby after her fans guessed that a pregnancy was her impending secret.
Halsey first sent the rumor mill churning Monday night when she tweeted, “I have The Biggest Secret (unrelated to the album) and when u guys hear it, some of you are gonna explode. Into actual pieces.”
Her fans quickly started rattling off guesses as to what the secret could be, suggesting everything from a movie role to a TV series to a pregnancy.
But the singer quickly put the kibosh on any baby talk, joking that while she has gained weight, she’s not expecting.
“People think my last tweet is me hinting I’m pregnant, which means I’m either: a. Gaining weight B. Acting weird than usual,” she wrote. “Jokes on u, I’m doing BOTH! However STILL not pregnant!”
The star, who recently hosted Saturday Night Live, has made her desire for motherhood no secret, and in July sent tongues wagging when she told Marie Claire that she could potentially get pregnant once her tour wrapped.

“Once the tour is over, I feel like anything could happen. I could decide I want to move to Italy for a year and write. I could get pregnant. I finally have enough stability in my career where I can take a breath. I feel like I can let life happen,” she told the outlet.
She later clarified on Twitter, however, that she was just being “hyperbolic” and that “The only baby I’m making is my next album!!!!!”

Halsey previously revealed to Rolling Stone in 2016 that she’d suffered a miscarriage while on tour the year before.
“I want to be a mom more than I want to be a pop star,” she said. “More than I want to be anything in the world.”
The “Now or Never” singer has been linked to alternative rock musician Yungblud in recent months following her October split from rapper G-Eazy after a brief reconciliation.
The star has yet to confirm their relationship, but shared a portrait she’d painted of British rocker to Instagram Jan. 17. The pair released a song together, “11 Minutes,” last week.
