Jabalpur, The proposed flyover project from Dan Mahal to Damhnaka has been entangled in the politics of credit. While the people of BJP are saying this to the city, the Congress leaders are raising questions over its justification. In-charge of the district, Priyavrat Singh and Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot, said that the project has been reviewed for the last day.

On the other hand, there is fear in the minds of the people of the area who are afraid of the kind of displacement the flyover construction would lead to as authorities are not available to provide information about the relief that would be provided to those who would be displaced. While in the politics of taking credit both the main parties are engaged in protecting their own interests.

Cong talks of four flyovers

Minister Tarun Bhanot, Priyavrat Singh said that no fly over is made in the air and the work is done by public money. It is necessary to see the money is not wasted. A part of the flyover will pass through the North Central Legislative Assembly, but it was not discussed with the residents and traders there.

On the other hand, Congress MLA Vinay Saxena from North Central says that the flyover was just announced, it was not said that who will make it. Its DPR is not ready, nor has it been approved by the Railways. There are also technical problems in the project.

Obviously, all the work is not clear. Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot said that BJP is creating a fuss over a flyover; we have prepared a proposal to make four flyovers for the city which would be more beneficial.

Discussion on these proposals

Construction of satellite city in 100 acres, Gewarghat-Mangeli 15 meter cable-bridge, proposal for making agriculture produce mandi, mega ITI at a cost of Rs 30 crore, Green Corridor from small line gate to Gargighat, Ramnital to Damhnaka elemekid corridor, Saraswati Ghat, Jhulla bridge in Lamhataghat, Dental College on the land of Medical College, Textile Park, 100-bedded new hospital at Naya Gaon at cost of Rs 25 crore, new industrial area in 20 hectares of land in Gaderi at cost of Rs 400 crore , Narmada Samriddhi corridor and boating at night in the Bhedaghat are the proposals that are likely to be discussed.

Flyover not needed?

While the Congress and BJP are entangled in the politics of credit, the experts believe that bypass construction for Jabalpur has been included in the Bharat Mata project. Apart from this, bypass construction has already been done in the areas which are in the city, which has reduced the number of vehicles passing through the city for the past few years.

There is only some problem of traffic in the dense areas of the city, which can be arranged by streamlining traffic.Traffic can be streamlined, then what is the justification to spend millions of rupees to build the flyover, to build the structure?
