A 24-year-old security guard of a South Mumbai tower was arrested for allegedly beating up a two-wheeler owner over a parking issue.
According to Hindustan Times, the accused security guard has been identified as Abdulaleh Mohammed Jabir, while the two-wheeler owner was identified as Mohammed Owes Abdul Razzak Shaikh (28). The incident took place on Sunday at around 1 am, after the fight over parking turned violent which led to the security guard beating up a two-wheeler owner. As Shaikh and his wife were headed to a wedding at Islam Gymkhana along Marine Drive, they decided to visit the grandmother after the function who was injured on Saturday.
After reaching near grandmother’s residency, he parked his two-wheeler outside the tower and locked the handle. But when they came back, they found that the two-wheeler was moved to the opposite side of the road. This angered Shaikh who the approached Jabir. Jabir told Shaikh that the bike was moved as it was obstructing the way. Shaikh got angry as the bike would have been damaged, as it was moved when it was locked. The fight escalated after which Jabir threatened Shaikh. Shaikh then dropped his wife home and came back again to confront Jabir. The argument soon turned violent and Jabir grabbed a stick from his cabin and attacked Shaikh. Due to this, Shaikh suffered injuries to his arm, shoulder, and head. Shaikh’s brother later lodged a complaint with the Pydhonie police which led to the arrest of Jabir.
