Google Chrome finally closes loophole that revealed if you used incognito mode

ANI  |  Internet

modes are meant to prevent websites from tracking your browsing behaviour. For a long time Chrome had a security flaw that surprisingly allowed developers to detect if you are using mode. However, this is about to change.

9to5 says that Chrome is now looking to fix the loophole in the browser. A simple trick allowed developers to determine whether or not a user is in Mode.

To tackle the issue, Chrome will now create a virtual file system using to ensure it is deleted once you leave the incognito mode. This will easily shut down all current methods for detection.

Once this protection is in place, Google's aim will be to remove the FileSystem altogether. Chrome's incognito detection prevention feature is expected to launch in Chrome 74, before being widely rolled out till Chrome 76.
