“There will be scattered rain on Thursday as well along with overcast skies. Strong surface winds may accompany the rain. There may also be some rain on Friday morning,” said a Met official.

Safdarjung, the base for Delhi’s weather, recorded 1.6mm of rainfall in a 24-hour duration till 8.30am. In the next nine hours, 0.8mm rain was recorded. The spell, however, led to a deterioration in air quality with the Air Quality Index (AQI) touching 271 (poor) compared to 221 (poor) on Tuesday. SAFAR predicted an improvement in the next 24 hours.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 23 and 14 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
