College student dies while playing cricket in Chennai

CHENNAI: A 21-year-old college student died while playing cricket at Guduvanchery here on Monday evening.
Police said R Srinivasan, a resident of Sriperumbudur, was studying in final year B Com in a private college at Chromepet.
"Around 5pm on Sunday, he was playing along with his friends near Adhanur lake. Srinivasan was batting. The cricket ball accidentally hit his chest and he collapsed," said a police officer.
His friends rushed him to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The Guduvanchery police registered a case.
