Lieutenant-Governor (L-G) Anil Baijal will address the House on Friday to start off the first session of 2019 and Finance Minister Manish Sisodia will present the Delhi government’s budget for 2019-2020 on February 26, the Delhi Assembly said in a statement on Monday.
The Business Advisory Committee, chaired by Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, recommended on Monday that the L-G would address the House on the first day of the session at 11 a.m. The discussion on the motion of thanks to the L-G will take place on Friday and Saturday. Mr. Sisodia will present the status report of the Outcome Budget of 2018-2019 on Saturday as well.
On February 25, Mr. Sisodia will present the Economic Survey of Delhi for 2018-2019 and the Budget for 2019-2020 on February 26. Following discussion on the Budget on February 27 and February 28, it will come up for passing on February 28, the statement also said.
For the Question Hour on February 25, 26 and 28, the Assembly Secretariat had received 349 notices, of which 60 questions have been admitted as starred and 225 as unstarred.
