'It's like a crap soap opera!' MAFS viewers slam the 'fake' drama and turn on producers for 'completely scripted' storyline with Sam, Ines and Elizabeth

Married At First Sight viewers have slammed the show as being 'fake' and 'completely scripted'.

The social experiment took yet another dramatic turn during Tuesday's episode, when Elizabeth Sobinoff confronted Ines Basic over her 'affair' with her 'husband'.

And it seems fans are losing patience with the relentless showdowns, with many flocking to Twitter to suggest that the storylines are 'clearly set up'.

'The fake Sam and Ines storyline is hilarious now. It's clearly completely scripted and fake. Ines almost forgot one of her lines. So funny!' one user wrote.

'So fake!! Come on producers??? Can you do better than those fake dramas esp Ines and Sam!!! So stupid! In real life you just don't sleep with a someone's husband as quick as that!' another added.

'Seriously wtf has MAFS turned into !? Is it a reality show, a crap soap opera...it's just staged is there anything 'real' about it?!' a third viewer vented.

Yet another fan raged: 'I'm sorry but I'm calling absolute bull on this whole affair... it is so staged, uncomfortable and hard to watch. Great job, producers.'

One fan even claimed producers are making the show more scripted to get the ultimate dramatic potential in a bid to top last year's 'affair' between Dean Wells and Davina Rankina.

'I feel like each season is getting more and more staged just to beat the previous years ratings,' they wrote.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted a Channel Nine spokesperson for comment.

It comes after Elizabeth finally confronted Ines over her affair with her 'husband' Sam.

The seething jewellery store manager, 27, stormed over to Ines, 28, screeching, 'Did you hook up with him?' after Cyrelle Jimenez Paule informed her of the rumours during a girls' night out.

A shell-shocked Ines insisted she hadn't done anything with Sam, 26, despite being in bed with him the night before - and proceeded to call Elizabeth 'foul', 'pathetic' and a 'full-blown cockatoo' in a furious war of words.
