PM Modi: Need divine blessings to repay debt of martyrs
Rajeev Dikshit | TNN | Feb 20, 2019, 04:23 ISTVARANASI: PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday invoked Ganga and Shiva while paying tributes to the CRPF jawans killed in the Pulwama terror strike.
“I have come to Kashi to draw strength and seek blessings from Ma Gange and Baba Vishwanath to return the obligation of martyrs’ families,” he said while addressing a huge rally in Varanasi. Modi began his speech by paying homage to the family of Ramesh Yadav, a native of Varanasi who was one of the 40 CRPF personnel killed in the attack last week.
He said, “Rashtra raksha ke liye, apne swajan ko nyauchhavar karne wale har parivar ka rin hum sabhi par hamesh hamesha ke liye rahega. Unke is rin ko chukane ki shakti ham sabhi ko mile, ye ashirwaad mai Baba Vishwanath se, Maa Gange se aur aap sabhi bhaiyon bahno se mangne aaya hoon”( The nation will always be indebted to families of martyrs. And being your representative, I am aware of your feelings and expectations. I have come here to seek blessings and derive strength from Ma Ganga and Lord Vishwanath to pay back the debt of martyrs.”
