'Coles what were you thinking?': Fed-up mums share the hilarious places they keep finding the supermarket's new 'Stickeez' toys around the house
- Coles released its third marketing promotion just before Valentine's Day
- Known as 'Stikeez' they are stick-able figurines made up of fruit and vegetables
- Parents need to spend up to $30 at Coles to receive a Stikeez character
- Amusingly, a number of children are leaving their Stikeez in funny places
First it was the Coles Little Shop collectables, and now it's Stikeez.
The fruit and vegetable figurines are being promoted by the Australian supermarket giant in an effort to get shoppers to spend more and they've been a huge hit with shoppers over the past few weeks.
And while children simply cannot get enough of the sticky toys, mums are becoming increasingly sick of discovering the little characters stuck to all kinds of items around the house.

Stikeez, the fruit and vegetable figurines being promoted by Coles, are being discovered by mothers in the most unlikely places (pictured)
'Coles what were you thinking?' One mother wrote on Facebook after discovering a stray pear Stikeez on the inside of her car door.
The image, which was shared in a Facebook group, garnered a huge response from other supermarket devotees who had noticed their own children finding new homes for the plastic produce.
'My kids have been sticking them to the wall. Little round dirty marks everywhere,' another disgruntled mother added.

They are finding them all over the home - in this case, on a dish brush

Other amusing snaps include the blueberry Stikeez on a wine glass, the eggplant on a dishwashing cleaning brush and a leek poking around the corner of the bathroom door

But others refuse to see the funny side and have protested against the toys.
'Dumbest decision ever. Another useless thing that will make its way to landfill. I actually like the Coles Minis. We use those for all sorts,' one shopper said.

There are a total of 24 Stikeez to be collected, but patrons must spend a minimum $30 in-store or online to receive one

There is also a 'rare' Stikeez character in the form of the Golden Billy Banana, which if collected allows you to claim a $100 Coles gift card
'They should've made rubbers for the end of pencils. These sucker things are useless and dumb,' another said.
