Daisy Pearce welcomes twins with 'love and smooches'

Champion Melbourne midfielder Daisy Pearce and her partner Ben have welcomed their newest Demons: twins Sylvie and Roy.

Pearce introduced her daughter and son, dressed in Melbourne beanies and booties, on Instagram on Monday.

"With exploding hearts, Ben and I would like to introduce Sylvie and Roy O’Neill,” Pearce wrote.

"Born 15th February 2019 at 11:37 and 11:39am (Sylvie older by a few minutes). 2530g and 2910g (Roy slightly bigger).

"For ID purposes Sylvie in blue, Roy in grey. Both are wonderful and being smothered in love and smooches."

Pearce, who has been a Seven commentator and columnist for The Age, has not played in season three of the AFLW after announcing last year that she was expecting twins.

The Demons captain, however, played a large role in her club's AFLW pre-season preparations, routinely being involved in training while pregnant.
