Morari Bapu’s ode to Bapu’s Kasturba

Morari Bapu has held katha with relevant themes in the past
In the year being marked as the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi , Morari Bapu 's nine-day Ramkatha in Ahmedabad from February 23 will pay special tributes to Kasturba - wife of Father of the Nation.
Girish Dani, trustee of Tulsi Vallabh Nidhi Trust that is organising the ramkatha, said, "Kasturba was the strength behind Gandhiji. However, her role in his life is not much highlighted. Morari Bapu's katha will pay tribute to Kasturba. In line with the theme, the dome and stage at the GMDC Ground venue will feature messages and cutouts of Gandhi and Kasturba. People attending the katha will also get to see actors portraying the two important personalities of India's Independence struggle. This is not the first time that Bapu's katha is being held with a theme. Earlier, he had touched upon subjects of cleanliness, disease, temple, death,Mount Kailash etc."
Some of the statements made by Kasturba about her husband - Mara jevo pati to koi ne duniyama pan nahi hoy (I have been blessed with the best husband in the world); Satyathi akha jagatma pujay chhe (He is worshipped in the entire world for his practice of truth); Hajaro
teni salah leva aave chhe, harjarone salah ape chhe (thousands come to seek his advice); Mara patine lidhe to hu akha jagat ma pujau chhu (I am worshipped in the world due to my husband) - will also be flashed at the venue and on the invitation cards.
Morari Bapu will also conduct a katha on the same theme at Raj Ghat, Delhi, on October 2 - the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. When asked about it, "Till now two such katha have been sanctioned by Morari Bapu. First will take place in Ahmedabad while other in Delhi."
As the Navjivan Trust founded by Gandhi will mark 100 years of completion, a book exhibition dedicated his life will also be organised along with the ramkatha. Though the trust was formed in 1929, Gandhi had launched Gujarati weekly Navjivan in 1919.
More than 1 lakh people will be offered free lunch daily during the nine-day katha of Morari Bapu. Organisers expect a footfall of 2 lakh on each day.
