Sting performs in Oshawa, Ontario, last week for a crowd of General Motors workers in a rally organized by the Canadian union Unifor. The former Police frontman — who appeared with Toronto cast members of The Last Ship, a musical he wrote about the decline of the shipbuilding industry in his hometown in England — has been recruited by the union to help its efforts to save GM's Oshawa factory from a potential closure. Before introducing him, Unifor President Jerry Dias bellowed a pointed message to the automaker: "GM, every move you make, every vow you break … we'll be watching you."
