VIJAYAWADA: Two high school girl students were caught drunk in class following which they were suspended from the Vijayawada government school.
The girls, who were students of Class IX of the government school at Vijayawada, were found engaged in drinking by other students of the school. Teachers of the school were alerted by the students who saw the drinking bout, which led to the suspensions.
The two girls used to mix alcohol with cold drink so as to avoid any suspicion on them. Later, when their behaviour was indifferent, their classmates informed the principal.
The students were issued transfer certificate by the principal for their misconduct.
"It is true that the two students were coming drunk to the class. Their father was an alcoholic and that is how they got the habit. Their behaviour could damage the school's reputation and so we have issued transfer certificates to both of them," said the headmaster.
