Lindsey Graham Backs Trump's National Emergency, Says It's Better For Kentucky Students to Have Wall Instead of a New School

Senator Lindsey Graham threw his support behind President Trump’s national emergency declaration at the southern border.????In addition to the declaration, legislation passed in Congress and signed by Trump allocated around $1.4 billion in border funding.????The White House said the president will redirect funds from other budgets to get $8 billion in funding for his wall, including taking $3.6 billion in military construction funds for his project.????When Graham was interviewed on CBS’ “Face the Nation”, host Margaret Brennan pointed out some military projects include improvement for military bases and housing across the country and construction of a middle school in Kentucky, the South Carolina Senator responded...????“I would say it’s better for the middle school kids in Kentucky to have a secure border.

We’ll get them the school they need but right now, we have a national emergency on our hands, opioid addiction is going through the roof in this country, thousands of Americans died last year and dying this year.

We can’t control the flow of drugs into this country and all of it is coming across the border.”????Graham argued that Congress is locked down when it comes to Trump’s border security plan and not getting the support past presidents have had.????Adding “So, unfortunately, he’s got to do it on his own and I support his decision to go that route”
