MOHALI: For women who are afraid of breast-cancer screening, the Indian Institute of Technology at Ropar has developed a non-invasive indigenous technique called “thermos vision”.The device detects cancer painlessly and earlier than mammography, as claimed by Ravibabu Mulaveesala of the electrical engineering department. Developer Vanita Arora said: “The set is not bulky like MRI or ultrasound machines. It is a portable, light, remotecontrolled device.”
