Police have urged the public to help to locate a nine-year-old boy who went missing from his home in Kinross overnight.

The boy named Chay is on foot and is wearing black, red and white-coloured Superman pyjamas and thongs, Joondalup police said. His pyjamas may have been turned inside out.

He is about 132cm tall, fair skinned with short dark blond hair.

He was last seen at a petrol station near the corner of Marmion Avenue and Ocean Keys Boulevard in Clarkson about 10pm on Sunday night.

There has also been an uncomfirmed sighting of Chay around Clarkson Train Station on Monday morning.

Police posted the missing person alert on their Facebook page about midnight, and the post had been shared almost 3000 times by 7am.

Anyone who sees Chay is asked not to approach him as he may run, but instead to call Police.

Police are currently conducting patrols of the area and are appealing for anyone that might have seen Chay to call police immediately on 131 444.
