Nicola Massey joins imc as chief of business excellence
Independently-owned healthcare communications group, integrated medhealth communication (imc) has appointed Nicola Massey as its chief of business excellence, UK.
At imc, Massey will provide leadership while overseeing the group’s UK base.
She said: “I’m looking forward to joining imc UK and getting to know the team. imc has already achieved a reputation as a leader in scientific and medical communication globally.
“In the new role of Chief of Business Excellence, I plan to build on that, enabling the team to deliver the very highest level of excellence, and enhancing our ability to exceed the expectations of clients, both existing and new”.
Massey has more than 20 years’ pharmaceutical industry leadership experience and has served in various positions for Allergan, Shire and Merck Sharp & Dohme.
Additionally, she has also served as a member of the board of management of the ABPI, where she championed access and funding for patients with rare diseases.

GCI Health adds to digital and integrated marketing teams
Building on the company’s offerings in healthcare communications, GCI Health has added two new members to its team.
Trey Watkins joins the group as senior vice president, bringing an understanding of the global health governance and policy landscape along with extensive experience in strategic communications, advocacy and multi-stakeholders partnerships.
Meanwhile, Margaret Shubny joins as the agency’s executive vice president. She will be responsible for providing strategic insights, counsel and services for corporate communications to advance value and market leadership, with an emphasis on issues related to access, value and pricing.
Lisa Druce joins Lighthouse
Lighthouse Medical Communications US has appointed Lisa Druce as its new managing partner.
Druce is an experienced business leader and healthcare communications specialist, with expertise in managing and growing business.
She previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Commercial Expansion and Operations at Ashfield Healthcare Communications, leading their strategic growth and innovation initiatives.
She said: “Having observed the tremendous achievements of the Lucid Group for some time, I jumped at the opportunity to become part of an organisation that is leading the way in healthcare communications, with a clear focus on improving patients’ lives.
