App to help CBSE students locate their exam centres

Pune: In order to prevent malpractices like paper leaks and make it easy for the students to locate their exam centres easily, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made the examination process tech-equipped this time.

An app has been developed by the  Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to help the students find their examination centres easily. 

According to a notice issued by the Board, the students will be able to find their exam centres with the help of Google Maps by entering their seat number in the app.

Similarly, the question papers and other important documents will be tracked through by geotagged time-based tracking. There will also be live streaming of the examination centres, to keep track of the situation there.

The question paper pattern, too, has been made easy this time. The Board has increased the internal choices to 33 per cent and consideration will be given for creative answers.

From this year, every third question will have an option. Also, the number of objective questions has been increased from 10 to 25 per cent.

While the Class XII Board examinations have already begun, the Class X examination is scheduled to begin on February 21.
 
A total of 12,87,359 students are appearing for Class XII examinations, around 18,27,472 students will be appearing for Class X examinations. The examinations will be held at 4,974 centres across India and 78 abroad.
