Noida to train craftsmen for free
Shafaque Alam | TNN | Feb 18, 2019, 07:10 ISTNOIDA: The district administration of Gautam Budh Nagar will train 100 craftsmen in a ten-day free residential training for entrepreneurship under the UP government’s One District One Product programme.
The state government will bear the training expenses and offer an honorarium to the participants. The government will also provide tool kits worth Rs 20,000 to each candidate.
K Ravindra Naik, commissioner and director ODOP Cell, has issued a letter about the craftsmen’s training programme in each district.
Anil Kumar, deputy commissioner (industries) said the government had roped in Entrepreneurship Development Institute to provide the technical training. “The aim is to encourage entrepreneurs in the readymade garment industry in Gautam Budh Nagar. We will select participants and provide training about all aspects of business development,” he said.
The training will be given in four batches in Jewar, Dadri, Noida and Greater Noida.
