In an astonishing discovery, over 1,000 unused war rockets were recovered by archaeologists in Mysore, Karnataka. Archaeologists believe that the rockets belong to Tipu Sultan’s who ruled the region in the 18th century. Each of the unused rockets was measured between seven to ten inches in length with one to three metres of diameter. It is estimated that Tipu Sultan used the rockets in the fight against the British East India Company during the fourth Anglo-Mysore war.
