The Telangana High Court on Tuesday would hear an appeal being made by State Government on the contempt proceedings initiated through a single judge order in two former Congress MLAs case.
The government on Monday moved a lunch motion seeking an order to stay the contempt proceedings. Four days ago, the single judge ordered to take into custody Law Secretary V. Niranjan Rao and Legislature Secretary V. Narasimhacharyulu when they appeared before the court in the contempt case. They were released after furnishing personal bonds.
On behalf of Mr. Rao, the lunch motion was moved. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy would hear the appeal petition in which the petitioner sought direction to set aside the contempt proceedings.
