1,000 potters to get electric wheels
tnn | Feb 19, 2019, 05:00 ISTVaranasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute 1,000 electric potter wheels along with other pottery equipment among potters in Varanasi on Tuesday.
KVIC chairman Vinai Kumar Saxena said that taking positive impact on the lives of artisans, among whom the PM had distributed 260 electric potter wheels along with blungers and pug-mills on September 18, 2018 at Varanasi, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under its Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana, identified another 1,000 potters in Varanasi. He said that 1,000 electric potter wheels, 100 pug-mills and 100 blungers will create 4,800 jobs in Varanasi region as each machine provides direct jobs to four persons. tnn
