The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each to the families of the CRPF jawans who were killed in the terrorist attack at Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir.
A statement to this effect was made by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday. Pledging his support to whatever action the Central government might take against the terrorist outfits, Mr. Naidu suggested that the Centre and States should work together to thwart the evil designs of the terrorists so that attacks such as the one at Pulwama did not recur.
Stating that the supreme sacrifice of the jawans could not be measured in terms of money, Mr. Naidu, however, said the State government thought it fit to extend financial support to the bereaved families in this hour of grief.
