Medical camp for police officials
TNN | Feb 17, 2019, 07:54 ISTLudhiana: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with SPS Hospital, organised a medical camp for police officials.
Amit Juneja, convener, CII City Development Core Group, said, “Being an industrial town with a large migrant population, Ludhiana has its own set of challenges. To overcome those, the police of our city is a key stakeholder.”
Juneja said, “Our objective of organising the camp was primarily to conduct medical examinations, including ECG, blood sugar, blood pressure, diet control and medical consultancy to officials from division number 8, Sadar, investigating cell, women cell, CAW cell.
Around 100 police officers benefitted from the camp.
“Besides, we also look forward to explore areas where CII and police authorities can work together,” he added.
Deepak Pareek, ADCP, headquarters, said, “This camp would help police to keep up good health, which generally lacks due to tough nature of duty. This initiative will continue in all police stations of Ludhiana. It will also help create a new Ludhiana which will be much safer and smarter in true sense.”
