Min Woo Lee eliminated at Perth golf event
The World Super 6 Perth will be won by an international player for a second- straight year after Min Woo Lee's elimination during the match play quarter- finals.
Lee beat France's Gregory Bourdy in the opening round, before edging past tournament favourite Thomas Pieters in the round of 16.
The 20-year-old West Australian held a one-up lead against Spaniard Adrian Otaegui early in their six-hole quarter-final shootout.
But Lee faded from that point, with world No.71 Otaegui finishing two-up.
It meant Lee finished in a tie for fifth - his second top-10 finish in a European Tour event since turning professional last month.
Otaegui is two-up against Zimbabwe's Scott Vincent after two holes of their semi-final bout.
In the other semi-final, Ireland's Paul Dunne and Kiwi Ryan Fox are all square after two holes.
Australian Brett Rumford took out the inaugural World Super 6 in 2017, while Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat won it last year.
West Australian Matt Jager was knocked out by Dunne in the round of 16 after missing a series of putts narrowly.
"I guess luck ran out towards the end there," Jager said.
"I hit a couple of great putts that just didn't want to fall.
"Paul's a great putter and you kind of expect him to make those ones - that's why he's a world-class player."
