Thundershower likely to occur in coastal Odisha
Hemanta Pradhan | TNN | Feb 16, 2019, 22:15 ISTBHUBANESWAR: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhubaneswar has forecast thunderstorm accompanied by lightning may occur at one or two places over 10 districts of coastal Odisha on Sunday.
Alert for rain has been issued to Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Khurda and Puri. Hailstorm may occur during the rain, said a senior weatherman of IMD Bhubaneswar.
On Saturday, heavy rain lashed Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and some coastal districts due to the impact of Norwester.
The IMD has forecast that rainfall in coastal and interior areas may continue till February 18 morning.
