The new Vice-Chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University K. Pitchumani assumed office here on Saturday.
Dr. Pitchumani, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) emeritus scientist at School of Chemistry in Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU), has become the 9th Vice-Chancellor of MSU as the three-year tenure of his predecessor K. Baskar ended on Friday.
After garlanding the statue of Manonmaniam Sundaranar on the MSU’s main campus at Abhishekapatti, he assumed office in the presence of Registrar S. Santhosh Baboo and senior faculty members.
