NUV students team bag grant for start-up

VADODARA: Three first year students of B Tech (computer science engineering) and BBA program of city-based Navrachana University, Vadodara (NUV) recently bagged a Rs 51,000 grant under GTU's student startup innovation policy (SSIP) program.
The students - Yugen Chokshi, Nirayu Chauhan and Jinesh Patel - bagged the grant as their project 'X-Learno' which is an online learning platform for software and certificate courses related to IT, was selected in the first round itself.
The timeline given for using the granted fund is 60 days and once the trio utilize 100 % funds, they can apply for funds up to Rs two lakh for the next phase of development.
'X-Learno' - is being developed an online platform where users can learn new skills, take courses online and on completion, they earn a certificate and are also eligible to work on freelance basis on live projects offered by companies on the same platform.
"It is beneficial for fresh graduates and students who want to learn and work simultaneously without leaving their jobs," the students said.
