Conferences held at Poona College

PUNE: The Y& M Anjuman Khairul Islam's Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce recently organized a conference on 'New Trends in Commerce, Economics, Banking, Cooperation, Management, Computer Science, IT and Environment'. The two-day conference was held at the seminar hall, informed principal Aftab Anwar Shaikh, in a press statement.
More than 100 representatives from 20 countries participated in this two-day international conference. The conference was sponsored by Savitribai Phule Pune University under quality improvement programme said Shaikh.
Shaikh welcomed all the resource persons and delegates and outlined the aims and objectives of the conference. Delegates from Austria, Germany, United Kingdom, Thailand, Republic of Chad, Camroon, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Turkmanistan, Nigeria, Zambia, Mozambique, Yemen, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan participated in the event.
The conference received a good response with 146 of papers by 200 authors being presented. The papers were published in an international journal Anjanta which is listed by University Grants Commission. This issue of the journal had to be published in 8 volumes. This journal was released in the inaugural session.
Meanwhile another seminar at the Y & M Anjuman Khairul Islam's Poona Institute Of Management Sciences & Entrepreneurship (PIMSE) was conducted on the theme -- Empowering business through innovations and technology. Research paper presentation by delegates from various colleges in the city including Abasaheb Garware College, JSPM, Sinhgad College attended the session and was chaired by Malika Mistry of Poona College.
