A 25-year-old techie was found dead in her private hostel room in Madhapur on Saturday morning.
Madhapur police said that Vojhala Srividya was working in a software company in Madhapur and hailed from Mumbai in Maharashtra. The hostel management told police that the housekeeping staff, who went to clean the room, found Srividya lying unconscious on the bed with polythene cover wrapped around her face and head. She joined the hostel on February 10.
Police said that the young techie ended her life by suffocating herself using a plastic bag, tightly wrapped around her head and face fully, and sealed it with adhesive tape.
“We suspect that she committed suicide due to her ill health,” cops said.
A note written in English, left behind by the victim cited that ‘nobody is responsible for her death and she took this extreme step’.
