The Tamil Nadu players made a sweep of titles with the ISA trainees taking a lion’s share of the titles at the ISA junior open squash circuit, a two-star National circuit event here on Saturday.

In all, nine finals were contested and the ISA players won five in what turned out to be a day of exciting squash.

The closest two ties were in the boys’ section where top seed K.S. Arihant (under-13) and Kanhav Nanavati (under-17) won by a whisker.

K. Rajendiran, Secretary-General, SRFI, gave away the prizes.

Boys: Under-19: Saksham Choudhary (Del) bt Gowtham Karthick (TN) 11-5, 11-5, 11-2.

Under-17: Kanhav Nanavati (TN) bt S. Navaneeth Prabhu (TN) 11-7, 11-8, 5-11, 8-11, 12-10.

Under-15: Rohan Arya Gondi (TS) bt Parthiv Yagnesh Natarajan (TN) 12-10, 13-11, 11-8.

Under-13: K.S. Arihant (TN) bt P.R. Sandhesh (TN) 11-8, 14-12, 9-11, 5-11, 11-6.

Under-11: Darshil Parasrampuria (TN) bt Rahul Sanjay Balakrishnan (Kar) 11-3, 12-10, 8-11, 8-11, 11-9.

Girls: Under-17: Abhisheka Shannon (TN) bt Trina Iris (TN) 11-9, 11-8, 11-4.

Under-15: S. Akshaya Sri (TN) bt Vasudha Surange (Del) 11-4, 13-11, 11-5.

Under-13: Khushboo (UP) bt N. Brithika (TN) 12-10, 11-3, 11-5.

Under-11: Ananya Narayanan (TN) bt Sahana Kalaivanan (TN) 11-8, 11-3, 11-7.
