Modi to visit Hazaribag today
TNN | Feb 16, 2019, 23:59 ISTHazaribag: Three years after he inaugurated the railway link between Hazaribag and Koderma on February 20, 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the new Ranchi-Patna Express via Barkakana-Hazaribag-Koderma-Gaya-Jehanabad route originating in Begusarai in Bihar at 11am on before coming to Hazaribag later in the day.
A statement issued by the East Central Railway authorities said the train will be received at the Hazaribag station by Union minister of civil aviation and local MP Jayant Sinha and MLA Manish Jaiswal. During his hour long stay at Hazaribag, Modi will inaugurate medical colleges at Hazaribag and Dumka and Palamu online.
He will also inaugurate an engineering college at Hazaribag, launch the Dairy Gift Scheme of the state government, lay the foundation of pipelines from Konar Dam to Hazaribag for augmenting the drinking water supply and lay the foundation of a rural drinking water project. The district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the PM’s visit, who is scheduled to reach Gandhi maidan at 2.30pm.
