Unseeded Renne Singla beat top seed Le Yi Liu of China 6-4, 6-3 to clinch the girls’ title in the ITF grade-5 junior tennis tournament on Saturday.

Renne, who trains with coach Vinod Kumar in the Capital, had dropped only nine games in the earlier four rounds.

She had lost to the same opponent in the semifinals last week in a similar tournament in Nepal.

In the boys’ final, Geni Inoue of Japan defeated Uddayvir Singh 6-3, 5-7, 7-6(4).
