(SOUNDBITE) (English) JEFFREY YEBOAH, SAYING: "I love my job, I love what I do, it's the best thing I ever did for myself, if not for anything at all, I feel I'm part of a problem solving community.
I mean I am taking car tires off the street, I am taking car tires from gutters, I am stopping car tires from being burnt." Yeboah collects used tires from dumpsites or sources them from second-hand dealers in Ghana.
His company, Ripples Interior, is founded on the principles of being eco-friendly and providing opportunities to other Ghanaians.
He currently employs two workers - But also spends a lot of time training aspiring furniture entrepreneurs.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) RUKIYETU ABUBAKARI, CUSTOMER, SAYING: "Sometimes I wake up with no money at all in my pocket.
I have used every money to buy ropes and since I am training people, there are some materials that we do that I will never sell them because I mean, I was just training people with it and all that.
So at the end of the day, I will not get anything, but nothing stops me." The pieces range from 30 to 250 U.S. dollars, depending on the size and design.
Most of the furniture is sold through marketing on social media.
Although clients can ask for custom-made designs.
That's proving to be a popular choice for many customers - proud to show off unique furniture pieces exclusively made in Ghana.
