Payless Shoes To File For Bankruptcy; Set To Close All Stores

The discount shoe retailer Payless ShoeSource is set to close all of its stores when its files for bankruptcy later this month.

??A source told Reuters the shoe retailer is prepping to start going-out-of-business sales at their stores in the coming week.??The closure of its approximately 2,300 stores follows other brick and mortar store closings.

??Fox Business reports several retailers have shut their doors in the past ??12 months including Toys R Us.

??Payless previously filed for bankruptcy around April 2017 but was able to avoid closing because of receiving $400 million dollars in loans.

??The company had been trying to find a buyer but were unsuccessful and have started making arrangements to liquidate.??The source went on to tell Reuters that there still a chance a buyer could come up but it’s slim.

??Payless has declined Reuters for comment????
