AMBALA: The Ambala Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association (ESWA) and residents of Ambala on Friday expressed anger over the Pulwama terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir and burnt the flags of Pakistan at several places in Ambala City, Ambala Cantonment, and Barara. The residents also demanded that Article 370 should be removed from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) state.
Retired Subedar and president of ESWA Atar Singh Multani said, “We condemn Pakistan in strong words as they have killed our 40 innocent jawans. I would request the prime minister that without wasting any time, the camps on the land of Pakistan be attacked immediately. It is not the time to advertise the surgical strike, but to take action. The fight with Pakistan should be fought in its land as till date, we have lost so many soldiers due to the terrorist attacks. We cannot afford to lose more soldiers. We the ex-serviceman should be given orders to fight against terrorism. We are ready to give a befitting reply, but we cannot tolerate this brutality every day.”
Residents of Barara also expressed anger by burning the flag of Pakistan and demanded from the government that Article 370 should be removed from J&K state.
The residents also held a candle march and observed silence in the remembrance of the martyred soldiers.
